Picked up my new truck on Friday.

I decided on the 2017 Ford F350 Diesel.

This is the first brand new vehicle I’ve ever purchased and at 925 LB-FT, also the most powerful.

So far I’m very happy with it. It’s freakishly quiet and much smoother than the 2009 F350 it’s replacing. Unfortunately, the ride quality will probably worsen a bit after I lift it to accomodate some big rubber but that’s a neccesity for the environment I drive in at work.

I’m unbiased when it comes to trucks (actually a GM guy), I test drove them all and also spend lots of time in all of the “Big 3" full-size trucks at work.

I’m not much for writing reviews so ask away if there’s anything you wanna know.

Here’s a few pics:

Nice, I looked at one of those to pull our horse trailer, I wasn’t quite prepared for the $75,000 sticker shock, however, optioned carefully, they can be quite reasonable given the sheer amount of vehicle you got for it.

Yeah, they definitely add up quick.

Luckily it was a good month to buy a truck, Ford’s giving $13,000 in rebates and I was able to save another $10k by going back and forth between a few dealers.

I’m very happy with the deal I got.

No, I’m required to run a 1-ton diesel at work.

A ZR2 would be fun, though.

“I’m required to run a 1-ton diesel at work.”

then work would be required to buy me a truck...

I’d rather contract it out to them ;)

I can run a company truck but we make much more contracting our own.

What are the plans for the wheels?

Undecided between 35's and 37's at the moment.

I’ll probably end up running Blackbear 37's during mud season and BFG K02 35's in the winter.

This is my last truck with K02 35's:

I.... I can’t even... Damn, that’s a lot of truck!

Get the smallest wheel you can fit for those 35's or 37's, you’ll certainly appreciate the extra surface area and sidewall when airing down to 20psi or so. Did you consider the KM2?

Not even the same class buddy.

I’ve never heard of anyone replacing a 8 year old 1 ton for a little midsize pickup
